Kolkata: Upcoming digital streaming platform Starbox OTT has begun attracting interest from the entertainment industry even before its official launch, with applications and proposals reportedly pouring in from filmmakers and directors seeking approval to showcase their films and web series on the platform.
Starbox OTT Managing Director Anil Das described the early response as encouraging, saying the platform has already received proposals for several projects. He said creators would also have the option of releasing films and web series under a revenue-sharing model. According to the platform, several approved projects are expected to enter production soon.

The company has announced plans for a grand launch ceremony in Kolkata, where details of approved films and web series will also be unveiled.
Das said Starbox OTT aims to establish itself among India’s prominent digital entertainment platforms within the next two to three years.

Positioning itself as an open platform, Starbox OTT has invited both emerging and established filmmakers, directors, actors and content creators to submit projects.
The platform says its objective is to provide quality entertainment while offering creators an accessible and transparent avenue for content production and distribution.
